Finding a cure

Dear Friends:
                            Together we can work towards finding a cure for this insidious disease. Each and every day a devastating number of people are diagnosed with age-related macular degeneration, whether it is dry or wet, they just hear they may go blind.

                            I have seen firsthand the effects this disease has on people and their loved ones, I have witnessed the helplessness they feel.

Having worked in the field of ophthalmology, closely with a retina specialist, I have seen children, young adults, middle-aged and the elderly being told that they have this disease, and there are no cures just treatments. Even with the treatments they still may lose their vision.

Together we must raise funds for more scientific research, to educate and make the public more aware of this disease. With added research we can find a way to prevent and cure this disease. We are asking for your help and generosity, and with your support we can put an end to macular degeneration.
