With over 4 million people affected by the disease nationally that number stands to jump drastically as the baby boomers mature and the life expectancy increases. This will provide a tremendous burden on our communities across the country. People once independent and productive will become helpless and detracted. It is one of our missions to help them adjust to their new reality and ease their anxiety and frustration.
As we continue to provide resources, information and support for those suffering from this calamity we will continue to research and investigate all possibilities for the advocacy and support for those who suffer from this disease with the hopes that some day there will be a cure for this disease. Until then we are committed to providing the support and resources to help them live a more productive and independent life.
Even as a country we are starting to regain hope we particularly need all of the help we can get from you our faithful donors. I realize times are difficult, but they are increasingly difficult for the millions of people affected by Macular Degeneration. From the caregiver to the family member. The neighbor who is always there to help with the door to the granddaughter or grandson who tries to keep you smiling. The Macular Degeneration patient today is challenged more so now than ever before. With hope just around the corner we are anxious and resolved to help them live a happy more fulfilling life as they struggle with this debilitating disease. Frustration and anxiety threaten a more happy and peaceful life. Help us give back to those who have given us so unselfishly.
Thank you for your support and we hope that continue to have peaceful and successful year.
Sincerely,
Brian Curro
